Belarus President meets with State Secretary of the Union State
Minsk and Moscow have long been building their cooperation within the framework of this unique association of sovereign countries. Belarus and Russia are not only strategic allies, but also the most important trade and economic partners, which is of particular importance against the backdrop of the global situation and strong sanctions pressure. A serious and fundamental conversation is planned ahead. Right now Minsk and Moscow are preparing for the Supreme State Council of the Union State. A draft decree of the Supreme State Council on the main directions for implementing the provisions of the Treaty on the Establishment of the Union State until 2026 was approved at the meeting of the Council of Ministers of the Union State held this autumn. The document is of fundamental importance: it is the support and development of what has been achieved during the implementation of 28 union programs. Belarus and Russia are consistently moving closer in industry, agriculture, transport, tax and customs policy, and the social sphere. In recent years, the countries have significantly strengthened their work on industrial and regional cooperation.
