A. Lukashenko visited Kostyukovichi district of Mogilev region
The head of state focused on the development of the region, the sowing campaign, and the readiness of equipment. This is a traditional annual "Chernobyl" trip: a lot of attention is paid to such lands. The pool of topics is always very wide. The President first of all asked how the program for the development of the south-eastern region of the country was implemented. The governor reported that it generally worked. A detailed assessment will be given at the end of the summer. Other issues included: removal of bushes and sometimes even forests in the fields. Agricultural organizations should be involved here. Another issue is old farm buildings and other premises. This applies to many regions. The Ministry of Emergency Situations and the military will come to help with cleaning. As for sowing, there is a lag with certain crops. Presidential instructions are: by May 9, sow everything, including corn, in full compliance with technology. The crop structure is determined based on specific local conditions. The same approach applies to equipment. Alexander Lukashenko examined it today. Seeders, tractors, cultivators – new and improved. They work well, but people need more responsibility, then there will be safety. Relevant ministers and regional leaders are to control all the processes of the sowing campaign.
