A. Lukashenko: It is important for us to endure and stay out of conflicts
It is important for Belarus to preserve peace, persevere, and prevent attempts to drag the country into conflicts. Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko made the statement during the ceremony to lay wreaths and flowers at the Victory Monument in Minsk. "Belarus needs peace. Tomorrow. In a year. Always. It is important for us to endure and stay out of conflicts", the head of state stressed. "Time has chosen us. We have been chosen to preserve the independence of our land and everything created by many generations before us. Everything we jointly take pride in and admire". The president and all those present in Pobedy Square observed a minute of silence in remembrance of the fallen heroes. Aleksandr Lukashenko answered questions from journalists right after the ceremony.
