Aleksandr Lukashenko received a report from the Chairman of the Vitebsk Oblast Executive Committee, Aleksandr Rogozhnik. The situation in the Vitebsk Oblast, including in agriculture, was discussed. The issue of attracting citizens from Uzbekistan to work in the region was also discussed. Cooperation between Belarus and Uzbekistan in this area is based on mutual interest, emphasized Aleksandr Lukashenko. Belarus, as a country with a developed agricultural sector and large food production volumes, is ready to cooperate with Uzbekistan to help saturate the country's market with food.
