The President held a meeting on the draft decree "On the improvement of scientific activity"

The financing of scientific activities and the remuneration of scientists should depend primarily on the result. This was stated by Aleksandr Lukashenko. In addition to Chairman of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus V. Karanik, the meeting participants included the Head of the Presidential Administration, Chairman of Belarus' State Control Committee, Deputy Prime Minister V. Karankevich, as well as the Ministers of Education and Finance. The issues were discussed globally at a meeting at the end of November 2025. Then it was decided to prepare a document that would give a tangible impetus to the development of the entire sphere. Now it's time for a detailed analysis of the proposals. The President noted that it is necessary to make a fundamental decision. And all existing issues should be closed before the Congress of Scientists.
