A delegation from the United Arab Emirates, comprising representatives of ministries, agencies and large companies, is expected to arrive in Minsk today. The visit will be taking place as part of the agreements reached by the Belarusian President and the UAE authorities during the autumn negotiations.
In the next few days, Minsk will host the third meeting of the intergovernmental committee on cooperation, as well as a meeting of the Belarus-UAE business council.
The most promising cooperation areas for the two countries are logistics, information technologies, space exploration, tourism and the real estate industry. Last year, the UAE"s investments in Belarus made up 29 million dollars. Belarus is home to about 30 organisations with UAE capital.
