Belarus and Uzbekistan: Interparliamentary Dialogue

Minsk and Tashkent continue to strengthen their interparliamentary dialogue. Igor Sergeyenko, Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, met with Nuriddin Mamajonov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan to Belarus. He began his diplomatic mission in late July. The agenda included a wide range of issues, from economics to cultural and humanitarian ties. The speakers noted that relations between the two republics have been elevated to the level of strategic partnership. Trade turnover between Belarus and Uzbekistan reached $1 billion last year.
