The CSTO should adapt to the modern conditions of the international situation. This was stated by Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus Igor Sergeyenko at a meeting of the Council of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organization in Bishkek. The crisis of international relations and transformation of the world geopolitical landscape are accompanied by an unprecedented increase in tension, degradation of the existing security system. Under these conditions, according to the Belarusian side, the CSTO should respond to the changing challenges and threats in a timely and maximally effective manner. A separate item on the agenda was the discussion of the Program of the Assembly's activities on the approximation and harmonization of national legislation of the CSTO member states for 2026-2030. It reflects the whole range of problems related to ensuring national security: from the fight against terrorism and military security to electoral sovereignty and the preservation of historical memory.
