These days Belarus and Ethiopia are discussing the development of contacts and practical steps towards rapprochement. Our delegation headed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs continues its work in Addis Ababa. The program of the official visit is rich, focusing on all the issues that can bring benefits to both sides. The organization of assembly plants, modernization of Ethiopian agriculture using our technologies, participation of Belarusians in infrastructure projects, training of personnel on the basis of domestic universities — all these are in the portfolio of initiatives under consideration. Ethiopia's foreign policy is based on respect for national interests and sovereignty. This position is also close to Minsk. Belarus is ready not just to sell its products, but to help in mastering new competencies and technologies. M. Ryzhenkov invited representatives of Ethiopian business to more actively visit Belarusian thematic exhibitions, including the upcoming Belagro. In the humanitarian sphere they agreed to organize Days of Belarusian Culture, Education and Sports in Ethiopia. The parties will also intensify work on the roadmap for cooperation to be signed at the level of the leaders of the two countries.
