Belarus and Pakistan are prepared to significantly expand cooperation. This was discussed today at a meeting of President Alexander Lukashenko and State Minister for Foreign Affairs, special-assistant of the Prime Minister of Pakistan Syed Tariq Fatemi. The honored guest has arrived in Minsk to discuss in detail the future visit of the Belarusian leader to Islamabad. Alexander Lukashenko plans to visit Pakistan in October.<br>Belarus and Pakistan have reached a high level of political interaction in a very short period of time. Alexander Lukashenko visited Islamabad in May last year. In August 2015 he met the Prime Minister of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif, who is actually the first person of the state.Last year, the bilateral trade amounted to slightly less than 60 million dollars. The Parties shall discuss involvement in mutually beneficial relationship, in particular, participation in the Belarusian-Pakistani joint projects.
