The European Union has lifted most sanctions against Belarus. The decision was made by the Foreign Ministers of 28 EU countries. In particular, visa bans against a number of Belarusian citizens have been cancelled, assets unfrozen and three companies excluded from the black list.The Belarusian Foreign Ministry welcomes the European Council"s decision and considers it to be an important step towards the full normalisation of relations, opening up new opportunities for expanding multifaceted cooperation between Belarus and the EU.
