Today the city of St. Petersburg hosts parliamentary assemblies of the CIS and the CSTO. Meetings of legislators from the post-Soviet space precede the 137th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, which will kick off in the northern capital of Russia on Saturday. The agenda includes the harmonization of the national legislations of the CSTO countries in countering terrorism and trans-border crime, providing international legal assistance in criminal matters, combating infringements in the information sphere. 13 draft laws are under consideration for the CSTO member countries. The implementation of the priority areas of Belarus' chairmanship in the CSTO are also in the spotlight.
