Permanent Representative of Belarus to the United Nations Valentin Rybakov, who took part in the meeting of the President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko with the special envoy of the U.S. President Keith Kellogg, revealed the details of the meeting. First of all, key geopolitical issues were discussed: conflicts and wars, including the situation in the Middle East; the regional situation concerning Russia, Ukraine and Belarus. As Valentin Rybakov noted, the U.S. is aware of the role of Belarus in resolving the situation and is fully aware of the political experience of Aleksandr Lukashenko. This is why the level of the delegation was raised. The normalization of bilateral relations, the resumption of the work of embassies in Minsk and Washington, and the exchange of high-level visits were also discussed. Minsk continues to raise the issue of lifting unilateral sanctions, calling them illegal and violating international law. Solutions are being sought.
