Human rights are a platform for dialogue and cooperation, not confrontation. This was noted by Belarusian Foreign Minister Maxim Ryzhenkov, speaking in Geneva. At the high-level segment of the 58th session of the UN Human Rights Council, Belarus called for a global reset in the field of human rights. It was stressed that it is necessary to actually recognise the diversity of political systems, development paths and cultural values and return the constructive potential to international cooperation in the field of human rights. The Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs also took part in the high-level discussion on the "Thirtieth anniversary of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action". In addition, the Belarusian diplomat held meetings with heads of government, foreign ministers and other high-ranking officials of a number of countries.
