Belarus and Latvia are both interested in the development of mutually beneficial cooperation. Minister of foreign affairs of Belarus V.Makey declared this, when summing up the talks with head of the foreign ministry of Latvia Edgars Rinkevichs. The parties discussed a wide range of issues of bilateral interaction, exchanged views on the situation in the region and prospects of cooperation between Belarus and the European Union. Mr,Rinkevichs paid special attention to Belarus-Latvia joint effort in the field of security. Regarding the Belarus-Russia military exercise «Zapad-2017», Latvia has no claims to Belarus, the minister noted.
