According to the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in his response message, the President confirmed our interest. It is related to the fact that both Belarus and other landlocked countries face the same challenges. We are all very vulnerable to the actions of our neighbors — the coastal states. And Belarus is also fully experiencing the consequences of the illegal actions of a number of countries, which limit our country's right to access to the sea and transit, as stipulated by the UN Convention. Therefore, of course, we plan to directly participate in this conference at the level of the Foreign Ministry leadership, noted the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The forum will be held this December in Botswana. Belarus intends to raise the issue of the need to force some states to fulfill their international obligations. The upcoming conference will assess the implementation of the Vienna Programme of Action. It is also planned to adopt a new strategic document that will protect the rights of landlocked states.
