The main goal of the EAEU development is to improve the well — being of citizens. This was stated by the President of Belarus during his speech at the plenary session of the Eurasian Economic Forum in Minsk. Aleksandr Lukashenko outlined the contours of the further development of the EAEU, and also noted that the union's GDP should be doubled in the next 10 years. "EAEU 2.0" is how the Belarusian leader described the Union's future steps and its role in the global market. The President called for completing the formation of a common financial space as soon as possible. Another important proposal is to position the Union as a global transit hub. In the future, this initiative can be extended within the framework of the EAEU-SCO dialogue. The President noted that representatives of about 30 countries are present in Minsk, including such geographically distant countries as Nicaragua, Myanmar, the United Arab Emirates and many others.
