Alexander Lukashenko: Belarus and Azerbaijan establish strong, fundamental relationships

The President has received Ambassador of Azerbaijan in connection with completion of his diplomatic mission.
BelarusandAzerbaijanhave established strong, fundamental relationship. This was stated by President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko at a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Azerbaijan toBelaruson the occasion of completion of his diplomatic mission. In the last 6 years our countries achieved a serious increase in mutual trade. In 2011, thanks to the direct supply of oil to Belarusian refineries, the turnover for the first time exceeded $ 1 billion. Representation of Belarusian exporters inAzerbaijanhas increased. Today these are 5 own companies and 32 dealers. Now the goal is to bring trade turnover to around $ 700 million. The priorities and specific projects for the coming years have been defined in the framework of the recent visit of Alexander Lukashenko toBaku.
