The state debt of Belarus is manageable and serviceable. This was stated today by First Deputy Finance Minister Maxim Yermolovich at an expanded meeting of the Standing Committee of the House of Representatives on Budget and Finance. Last year, Belarus made payments of more than 7 billion rubles timely and in full. The bulk of it went into repaying the external debt. Also, the deputy minister noted that reducing the export duty on potash fertilizers from 55 to 20 euros per tonne will not significantly affect the budget this year. The country will receive a significant part of the funds in the form of revenues from the potash industry and from the profit tax.
