17.11.2021

A jubilee since the establishment of the railway connection between Brest and Moscow was marked in Brest. 150 years ago, regular trains started shuttling en route Smolensk-Orsha-Borisov-Minsk-Brest, thus completing the important railroad trunk Moscow-Brest. It connected Central Russia with the Western Europe via the shortest way and became foundation for the future development of the whole of the Belarus' railroad network. A solemn ceremony of canceling of two postage stamps issued especially for the event was held at the Brest terminal. An exhibition dedicated to the development of the Belarusian railroads opened for the citizens and visitors of Brest.
