In Belarus, the date is celebrated under the motto "A Global Call for Climate Action". A systemic and comprehensive approach to addressing environmental issues has been implemented for many years. The conservation and restoration of flora and fauna is a key focus of environmental policy. The country has approximately 1.500 specially protected natural areas. According to the Environmental Performance Index, Belarus ranks first among EAEU countries. In the global ranking, it takes 32nd position among 180 countries and is included in the list of countries with minimal environmental impact.
