There are plans to sign new cooperation agreements with Karelia and the Omsk Oblast. In addition, work is currently underway to create road maps with the Orel, Volgograd regions and Bashkortostan. The main goal is to maximize trade, economic and cultural ties, and create new joint ventures. The agreements are expected to be signed at the XIII Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia. Today, the neighboring country accounts for more than half of the total foreign trade of the northern region of Belarus. In five years, exports have grown 2.5 times. The main demand is for Belarusian dairy products, flax, cable, televisions and metal structures.
