Vitebsk Oblast and Kyrgyzstan intend to strengthen interregional ties

Governor of the Vitebsk Oblast Aleksandr Subbotin met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to Belarus Erbol Sultanbayev. The parties discussed possible areas of cooperation. Enterprises in the northern region supply Kyrgyzstan with cable, meat and dairy products, commercial equipment, and medicines. The plans include the export of rapeseed oil, confectionery, and lumber. Vegetables, fruits, and individual components for mechanical engineering are brought to the Vitebsk Oblast from the partner country. Of particular interest to the northern region is the participation in the international project for the construction of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway.
