The National Bank has officially established a new graphic symbol for the republican currency

The graphic symbol of the official currency of Belarus is approved by a resolution of the Board of the National Bank. It consists of the Cyrillic capital letter "Б" which begins the word "Belarus" thus associating the image with the country and its national currency. A parallel to the top line runs down the center, symbolizing equilibrium and stability. The symbol fits harmoniously into the international system of graphic symbols for global currencies.
