National Bank raises refinancing rate

To stimulate investment activity and mitigate risks in the economy, the refinancing rate has been increased by 25 basis points to 9.75% annually since 25 June in Belarus. We were informed about this in the National Bank of Belarus. Previously, the key figure was 9.5%. This decision was taken after the meeting of the Board of the National Bank, where the situation in the economy and monetary sphere was discussed. The measures taken will contribute to strengthening saving activity of legal and physical persons, we are talking about long-term deposits, reducing the intensity of inflation and supporting the purchasing power of Belarusians.
