30.03.2026
The 35.000th bus rolled off the Minsk Automobile Plant (MAZ) assembly line. This new model is designed for transporting large numbers of passengers in urban environments. MAZ 216 has already entered service in Mozyr, Gomel Oblast. Its key feature is its 18-meter length. The engine is mounted in the second section, increasing passenger capacity. The buses are equipped with video surveillance and air conditioning systems. The company is focusing on electric vehicles. Their range is at least 240 kilometers, allowing them to be charged only at night. A year ago MAZ completed the delivery of a large batch of these electric buses to St. Petersburg.
