Belarus and Voronezh Oblast of Russia are increasing economic cooperation

Last year, the trade turnover grew by 20%. There are plans to increase it to $1bln. The main area of cooperation is construction. Over the past 5 years, the amount of investments in projects has amounted to more than Rub11bln. In 2021, Belarusians built a 520 — seat school near Voronezh, and two years later, the largest school in Russia was built in the regional center. It is designed for 3.000 students and 200 teachers. Belarusians have also built a kindergarten with 600 places. The next project, which is being implemented by Belarusian specialists, has been launched. Not far fr om Voronezh, in the village of Alexandrovka, a stone was laid, wh ere construction of a new school will soon begin. The cooperation agreement was signed at the XII Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia in June this year in Nizhny Novgorod.
