Belarus and Kyrgyzstan: search for new points of cooperation
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic pays a working visit to Brest region. The industrial potential of the region was on the agenda. The programme was opened by the Kobrin butter and cheese factory. It also supplies its products to Kyrgyzstan. In the first quarter of 2025, the trade turnover between Brest region and the Central Asian states amounted to $3.2 mln. The growth rate is almost 62%. Cheese, yoghurt, batteries, wooden furniture, herring products, sausages, flour — these are the main export items. The import nomenclature includes fruit and vegetable juice, knitted dresses. On the whole, Belarus and Kyrgyzstan are significantly strengthening co-operation in various areas. A Belarusian-Kyrgyz business forum is expected in Minsk next week. A number of agreements are scheduled to be signed.
