A programme on improving the reliability of power supply has been formed
16.06.2025
The number of diesel generator sets in the energy system of Belarus has been increased by one third. This is one of the elements of the action programme aimed at improving the reliability of power supply so that the system would be ready for natural disasters. In case of damage to the lines due to the bad weather, it will be possible to quickly restore the working process. Drones will also play an important role. During the bad weather conditions last summer, 3.000 settlements were left without power in Belarus. 550 kilometres of power lines were damaged and 1.500 towers were destroyed.
