A common medicine market is being formed in the EAEU
Its mechanisms are being improved, and the rate of production is increasing. The main task is to provide affordable and high-quality medicines to 185 mln people living in the union countries. One of the recent decisions is to simplify the registration of medicines in the EAEU. This is an important step to complete the transition to unified approaches to drugs registration. In parallel, work is underway to localize medicines production and reduce dependence on imports. For example, the Belarusian market is closed by domestic drugs by at least 50%. The figure is high, but this is not the limit. The Eurasian Five is bringing together quality and safety requirements and is carrying out digital work – labeling medicines to ensure traceability of each package.
