A Belarusian milk processing plant may open in Russia's Kirov Oblast. This was discussed on 21 January at a meeting between Brest Oblast Executive Committee Chairman Pyotr Parkhomchik and Kirov Oblast Governor Alexander Sokolov. The Brest Oblast closely cooperates with Russian regions, with some having particularly strong ties. The Belarusian side hopes to build similar cooperation with the Kirov Oblast. Particular emphasis is placed on the economy, but education and tourism are also priorities.
