The European Figure Skating Championship in Minsk is over. The Head of State took part in the closing ceremony of the tournament. Belarus hosted such an event for the first time in its history and coped with it very well. Alexander Lukashenko thanked each athlete for the emotions, judges for their hard work in this subjective sport and coaches without whom there wouldn’t have been all this beauty on the ice. 145 athletes from 34 countries of the Old World took part in the continental forum. Belarusian athletes showed their highest result in ice dancing. Anna Kublikova and Yuri Gulitsky ranked 18th overall. The Championship was broadcasted in 20 countries of the world, including in distant Brazil and Japan. More than four hundred media representatives covered the continental tournament.
