Belarus has an effective system of high performance sport and sports reserve training, said President Alexander Lukashenko addressing the opening ceremony of the sports palace Uruchcha. According to the President, the new palace is a unique multifaceted facility with no comparable counterparts in the country, capable of hosting international competitions and training high-level athletes.The opening of the sports palace coincided with the start of the International Junior Handball Tournament. Alexander Lukashenko assured that the state is ready to support athletes, including handball players, but only when it is necessary. The athletes, in turn, should strive for high results.
