Belarusians became world champions on ice fishing with jig. The competition took place near the Ukrainian city Ternopil. Fishermen from 10 countries participated in the competition including Finland, Norway, Sweden and the United States. The Belarusian team surpassed rivals on the first day of the championship and retained the lead until the end of the competition. Two of three medals in the individual competition went to the Belarusians as well. It is worth noting that this is the second great success of our national team in sport fishing.
