Today Orthodox believers celebrate Presentation of Lord

Today, the Orthodox believers celebrate one of the 12 most important holidays - the Presentation of the Lord. On this day, the Mother of God is remembered, which first brought little Jesus to the temple and received news: her son is the Infant God, carrying the light that humanity has been waiting for many years. 

Today is the Day of Orthodox Youth. Minsk Ecclesiastical Academy received a gift from the head of the Belarusian Orthodox Church. The Metropolitan of Minsk and Zaslavl Patriarchal Exarch of All Belarus Pavel informally spoke with the students and left as a gift a copy of the famous miraculous icon of the Mother of God Barkolabovskaya.
