On 20 October the Supreme Court of Belarus will begin a criminal trial against Aleksandr Ermolchik, an accomplice of the Nazi executioners, the former head of the Khoiniki auxiliary police unit. It has been established that he deserted from the front in the autumn of 1941 and joined the punitive squad. His unit conducted operations against the civilian population in the occupied territories. After the war, the Nazi collaborator fled to Germany under the name of Kruger, where he died in 1984. During the preliminary investigation, 25 episodes of Ermolchik's criminal activity as part of an armed organized group were established.
