The land of partisan glory Rassony marked the
75th anniversary of liberation from the Nazi invaders with a historical
reconstruction. A memorial complex was erected in the district center in honor
of Soviet soldiers and partisans. A monument to the burnt villages appeared in
the central square. From the very beginning of the Great Patriotic War in Rassony,
a broad underground movement operated. In September 1942, the Rassony district
was liberated from the invaders thanks to the partisans.
