The simplified visa regime is expected to attract tourists and investments.Foreign tourists will be able to visit theAugustowCanalfor up to five days without visas, as specified in a decree signed by President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko. This applies to foreign nationals crossing theBelarus-Polandborder via the Lesnaya and Bruzgi checkpoints, as well as theBelarus-Lithuaniaborder via the Privalka checkpoint. Establishing a visa-free regime will contribute to an increase in tourist flow and investment attraction.
