Brest-based paratroopers donated blood for free. The soldiers decided to respond to the request from doctors and help people who need a transfusion. The event was unscheduled. It was necessary to urgently replenish the supplies at hospitals. Among the donors were fifty servicemen of the 38th separate airborne assault brigade. The transfusion point was set up right in the barracks. The process is the same as at the donor station itself. First, a potential donor undergoes a physical examination, his hemoglobin level is measured, blood type and Rh factor are determined. In total, the soldiers donated 24 liters of blood for regional hospitals. First of all, the plasma will be provided to the intensive care units.
