Belarus and Poland are to develop their cross-border road infrastructure. The transport ministries of the two countries have signed a relevant agreement. The document will regulate the maintenance of bridges on the common sections of the border and at checkpoints. Apart from that, the construction of a third bridge in the crossing point Brest-Terespol is under discussion. The project will increase the point’s capacity from 14 to 40 train-pairs per day. The parties are eager to use the railroads more efficiently, for the benefit of the economies of Poland and Belarus.
