2nd interstation tunnel drilling between Vokzalnaya and Kovalskaya Sloboda stations begins

The construction of a new line of the Minsk metro has come to the next important stage. Today Alesya drilling complex began the drilling of the second interstation tunnel between the new stations Vokzalnaya and Kovalskaya Sloboda. The tunnelling shield will go through 1270 meters of dirt. Thus, three stations of the new green line of the Minsk metro will be connected. In January, Minsk Metro Construction Company plans to begin testing. To date, Vokzalnaya station is 95% ready, Kovalskaya Sloboda station – 98%. Yubileinaya station is under construction.
