The President of Belarus convened a meeting to discuss issues related to licensing certain types of activities

A draft law has been prepared for consideration. The Head of State proposed discussing the most controversial provisions of the document in order to determine approaches to its further refinement in parliament. The improvements will affect the service sector and medicine, as well as additional education for children and young people. The President emphasized that the education sector is a state‑forming one and its development should be approached through the lens of national interests. Another proposed innovation concerns the need to obtain a license for the installation and maintenance of intercom systems. It is also proposed to change the requirements for working in the private healthcare sector, to increase the required work experience from 3 to 7 years in a public institution, and to make it mandatory to have at least the first category, including for mid‑level medical personnel. The development of laws on licensing issues is dictated by the times and is aimed at improving the quality of services provided.
