In Belarus, there's no need to chase after Western standards in education, but we should adopt a sensible approach. And this also applies to the functioning of the master's programme. Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko stated this while receiving a report from Minister of Education Andrei Ivanets. "There’s another separate issue regarding the master's programme, which is under control. How are we working there today? If a master's programme is needed for education, further studies, scientific work, teaching practice, and for foreigners, then, of course, we can provide such an opportunity. But without any premature actions or trying to adopt the experience of some Western educational centres or states", the Head of State emphasized.
