President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko got acquainted with the prospects of cooperation between Vitebsk Oblast and Andijan Region of Uzbekistan. The Khokim of Andijan Region, Shukhratbek Abdurakhmanov, also took part in the working trip of the Head of State to Orsha District. The partners look forward to working together. We are talking about investments in various sectors of the economy, as well as attracting Uzbek citizens to work in Belarus. Cooperation in agriculture is a priority. There are also plans to create a joint woodworking enterprise in Vitebsk Oblast, and there is interest in the production of pellets. About 5.000 workers may be attracted from Andijan Region to Belarus. According to the Governor of Vitebsk Oblast, the first guests have already arrived. The President invited the head of Andijan Region to inspect the dairy complex, told about Belarusian experience and technologies in animal husbandry.
