The President of Uzbekistan is paying an official visit to Belarus on 8-9 July. The talks in a narrow and broad format were preceded by a ceremony of official meeting with the participation of military personnel of the guard of honor, the performance of the anthems of the two countries. As part of the high-level talks, Aleksandr Lukashenko and Shavkat Mirziyoyev discussed current issues of bilateral cooperation and the prospects for strengthening it in various fields. The central focus of the negotiation agenda is the development of production cooperation and the implementation of joint projects. As a result of the negotiations, about two dozen documents were signed. The main one is the Declaration on the Establishment of a Strategic Partnership between Belarus and Uzbekistan.
