Minsk region is a leader in sugar beet harvesting

More than 1 mln tonnes of sweet root crops have already been harvested from the fields of the central region. The farmers of Uzda district are also contributing to the common basket. Here beetroot is successfully grown in several farms, including the Kotovsky experimental base. This vegetable crop is grown on 350 ha, of which 220 ha have already been harvested. In total, the gross sugar beet harvest in Uzda district is over 63.000 tonnes.
