Scientists from the Belarusian State University have developed a new technology for producing activated carbon

It is based on local raw materials and wood waste. The domestic coal surpasses international counterparts in its properties and is capable of fully meeting the country's needs. The project has already received a patent and a grant from the China Innovation Fund. Scientists continue to refine the technology, striving to maximize the material's properties. Domestic coal will be used to purify gas emissions and wastewater at industrial facilities, as well as to remove radionuclides at nuclear power plants. Furthermore, the coal will find application in drinking water production and the liquor industry.
