Belarus has seen a bountiful apple harvest this year. The goal is to saturate the domestic market with this vitamin-rich produce as much as possible. The Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade (MART) has also stepped in to support local producers, a six-month import licensing requirement for apples has been introduced. Simply put, apples arriving from countries outside the EAEU will require one-time import licenses. These will be issued by MART following approval from the Ministry of Agriculture and Food. At the "Spartan-Agro" farm, nearly 200 hectares have been dedicated to apple orchards. The planting density is 2.500 trees per hectare, with yields ranging from 50 to 80 tonnes per hectare. The strategy relies on modern technologies, with a primary focus on preserving the harvest.
