The battle for the harvest continues in the Belarusian fields. Farmers are approaching another significant milestone. Nearly 5 million tons of grain, including rapeseed, have been harvested in the country as of today. Minsk region is in the lead with 1 million 243 thousand tons. A little behind are the farmers of Brest region. Grodno region has threshed 1 million 79 thousand tons. By the way, the latter traditionally has the highest yield: 49.4 centners per hectare. More than half a million tons of the new harvest have been brought in by the farmers in the Gomel and Mogilev regions. The farmers of the Vitebsk region are also catching up. Harvesting of other crops continues. Winter rapeseed is at 75% of the plan, winter rye – 66%, wheat – more than half. 32 thousand hectares of flax have been harvested, which is 71%. 35% of planned fodder units have been harvested.
