Belarusian agrarians have contributed to the foundation of security

National security and well-being of the people begin, among other things, with food independence. Its foundation is reliably secured by the agricultural sector. The total grain harvest in Belarus including rapeseed and corn has surpassed the strategic milestone of 9.5 mln tonnes. Corn harvesting continues with 63% of the acreage already gathered. Sugar beet harvesting is also proceeding actively. Domestic enterprises will fully meet the country's sugar needs. Furthermore, this year's potato yield is 1.3 tonnes per hectare higher than that last year.
